The Issues

Our community is a great place to live, however, we’ve seen the price of housing increase over the years. This is leading many to wonder if living in the community they’ve known their entire lives is starting to escape their grasp. This is a regional issue that isn’t best solved by the state government. I am proud to work with local leaders to address the roots of the issue, specifically zoning and access to transportation.

Education is a fundamental right for every child in Michigan and we must do everything that we can to prepare them for the future by: Expanding school of choice options to not only public schools but private schools as well. Expanding transportation options to allow parents the ability to get their children to the correct learning environment that best suits them. Put parents back in control of the education of their children, they know them the best out of all of us.

We are in unprecedented times with inflation and costs raising all around us. Michigan currently ranks 42 in unemployment and between 2019 to 2020 was closing three businesses for every two that opened. To mitigate this, we must: Look at how we can reduce taxes by removing bloated budgets across the board at the State level. Identify what business types have the greatest upside and how we can either bring them to Michigan or help Michiganders start those types of businesses. Increase the assistance for small businesses in Michigan. Train Michigan’s workforce so we can create jobs in the above businesses.

Elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. We owe every Michigander an election that cannot be left in doubt. Everyone should want a secure election where people’s votes are counted, and the process is followed. We can provide that if everyone who is willing to do their part and obtain their ID along with help registering to vote. Every Michigander regardless of political affiliation should be confident that their vote is counted and the system is fair and accurate.
